Stow Municipal Court, Ohio Inmate Search

Stow Municipal Court has jurisdiction over 16 communities in northern Summit County, Ohio, the largest of which is Cuyahoga Falls. As such, inmate searches under this jurisdiction allow members of the public to verify whether someone is in jail. In Cuyahoga Falls, inmate detention is primarily handled by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, although the city police department operates a temporary holding facility for arrested individuals. Also, the sheriff’s office is responsible for inmate information and facilitates public inmate searches.

Note: In 2009, Stow Municipal Court replaced Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court, with established jurisdiction over Cuyahoga Falls and its surrounding court district (Ohio Revised Code § 1901.01(E)–(F)). However, although the court tries criminal cases, information on detention is largely maintained by the jail or the Sheriff's Office.

As such, individuals can find inmate information through the sheriff’s office website. Inmate searches return basic detention information, such as an inmate’s full name, booking and identification details, current custody status, and related detention information. The contact details of the law enforcement agencies with jurisdiction in Cuyahoga Falls are listed below.
